The Postal Stationery of the Cuban Republic

Newly published! This publications forms a trilogy with the following two publications, at least as to Cuba. The Postal Stationery of the Cuban Republic by Robert Littrell, published by the United Postal Stationery Society, is just 32 pages in length, but covers the topics of postal envelopes, wrappers and postal cards produced in the 57 years of the Cuban republic. Included are illustrations of the three series of postal envelopes and wrappers plus postal cards plus essays, specimens and usages of the various issues. Each series has a table of the various issues which come with a complete description of the new UPSS numbering, size, knife, ERP and pricing of mint and used specimens. Also included is a section of postal rate provisions plus an extensive cross reference to other catalogs of Cuban material: Edifil, Jones-Roy and Higgins & Gage.

Postal Cards of Spanish Colonial Cuba, Philippines and Puerto Rico

This publication, edited by ICPS member Robert Littrell, is on sale now! This is the most comprehensive treatise ever published in any language on the subject. It contains in its 127 pages, casebound, $59 or $42 to UPSS members. It has virtually complete plating of all of the Cuban issues from 1878 to 1898 as well as large color illustrations galore. Information on postal rates, factors concerning collectability, U.P.U. regulations, price lists, cross-indices and printing techniques are all here in one source. It is available now at the UPSS website. It is published by the United Postal Stationery Society, a most trusted and respected authority.

The U.S. possessions covered in this outstanding 210 page publication are Cuba (1899-1902), Hawaii, Puerto Rico, American Zone in Germany, Canal Zone, Danish West Indies, Philippines, and Ryukyu Islands. It is an update to, and tripling the information of, the 1971 previous edition. Information on postal rates, factors concerning collectability, price lists, cross-indices and printing techniques are all here in one source. The Cuba section was edited by ICPS members Ernesto Cuesta, Octavio Cabrera, Robert Littrell and Mark Tyx. It is available now at the UPSS website.
